Hevishot Hevi Metal Longer Range to enjoy greater lethality at even longer ranges than the original Hevi-Metal shell. With the use of both steel and denser bismuth shells, Hevi-Shot was able to pack smaller pellets with greater killing power. And, while the performance has increased dramatically, the price has not.
Our best selling product is even better. Hunters can now enjoy greater lethality at even longer range than our original HEVI-Metal® shells. Our new bismuth pellets are 16% denser than old HEVI-Shot® HEAVIER THAN STEEL® alloy, which allow us to pack smaller pellets that have greater killing power than traditional or even super steel pellets. And, while the performance has increased dramatically, the price has not.Hevishot Hevi Metal Longer Range
New for 2019, HEVI-Metal® LR improves downrange knockdown power by 16% with a new, higher density bismuth alloy (30%) layered over corrosion-resistant steel shot. Tighter patterns, longer range, clean kills.
Hevi–Shot Hevi–Metal Longer–Range Shotgun Shells use a blend of 30% high-density bismuth shot, layered over 70% steel shot, which increases range and lethality over standard Hevi–Metal loads. Steel pellets are coated with dry-film lubricant for corrosion resistance.
If the 30% bismuth is superior to the steel shot then you would be counting on 30% of the shot to be doing the killing at longer range.Hevishot Hevi Metal Longer Range
If anybody has a Hevi-Metal Longer Range load they could open up and do a pellet count and size measurement on both types of shot and could post it on here that would be great.
If I know the pellet sizes and densities I can run them through KPY to show the differences in speed, energy and penetration at 35 yards and 50 yards.
